On-Site Public Service

The Iron Range Research Center provides reference services to patrons in locating, accessing, and retrieving information from microfilm and hardcopy genealogical collections. Research Center staff are available to provide assistance in using reference sources and library equipment for research purposes.

Admission to the Research Center is free. While full-service research is available for a fee, the only charge for those conducting their own research is for copies.

Genealogical Research Services

The Iron Range Research Center provides research services to people all over the world via mail, email, fax and electronically through our website. The appropriate request forms are available by clicking on "Research Request" to complete and submit for service. Search results are sent via mail. Hard copies of the request form, fees and payment options are available upon request.
